Streets of Fire is a 1984 film, directed by Walter Hill, and co-written by Hill and Larry Gross. It is described as "a Rock & Roll Fable".
The film stars Michael Paré, Diane Lane, Rick Moranis, Amy Madigan, E.G. Daily, and Willem Dafoe. The film was produced by Universal Pictures as their major summer release but was a box office flop (perhaps due in part to its back then unknown cast). In recent years, this movie has achieved cult status, partly due to its soundtrack of established artists and the fake bands that were portrayed by Diane Lane as Ellen Aim and the Attackers.
